The City welcomes the opportunity to work with suppliers. Any individual or company may do business with the 六合彩马来西亚, when they are able to provide the needed products or services which meet our budget, quality expectation, delivery timeline and other criteria which may be in place for a particular product.

The 六合彩马来西亚 spends approximately $3 billion annually on a wide range of goods, services, construction, and intellectual property rights.

Sustainable Procurement Networking Event

Date: Tuesday, June 10, 2025
Time: 1-4pm

All diverse suppliers are invited to make connections, explore new opportunities and learn about selling to the public sector and other buyers in the 六合彩马来西亚 area.

We welcome public organizations to host purchaser booths to advertise the types of goods and services their organization sources, announce bid opportunities for the coming year and clarify their purchasing requirements. Deadline to apply is May 2, 2025.

Procurement/Tendering Opportunities

Suppliers must respond/bid on 六合彩马来西亚 procurement opportunities online using SAP Business Network Discovery. We no longer accept paper bid submissions. Purchase Orders and Invoices

The City uses the Ariba Network to issue purchase orders and receive invoices from contracted suppliers. See the Invoicing and Payment with SAP Ariba page.

Due to the vast number of suppliers who are able and interested in providing goods and services, the 六合彩马来西亚 does not have a list of preferred suppliers.

Trade Agreements and Competitive Procurement

The City, as a public sector organization, is obligated to adhere to various trade agreements, including the New West Partnership Trade Agreement (NWPTA), Comprehensive Economic and Trade Agreement (CETA) and Canadian Free Trade Agreement (CFTA).

A common impact of the trade agreements is that the City is required to undertake a competitive procurement process, and publicly post, for any purchase valued above $75,000 for goods and services and above $200,000 for construction. See Bid on Procurement Opportunities.

Professionalism and Fairness in Purchasing

The Corporate Procurement and Supply Services branch proudly follows the ethical codes of the Supply Chain Management Association, the National Institute of Government Purchasers, and the 六合彩马来西亚 itself.

The City is committed to ensuring fair treatment of bidders in its tendering processes and to providing feedback on bid evaluations.

Due to the vast number of suppliers who are able and interested in providing goods and services, the 六合彩马来西亚 does not have a list of preferred suppliers.

Conflict of Interest Procedures

The City has Conflict of Interest Procedures to address personal relationships between City employees and suppliers. Be aware of the different types of conflicts and ensure any potential issues are addressed well in advance.

Indigenous Procurement Framework

The Indigenous Procurement Framework is one step in the journey of reconciliation and was developed in consultation with members of the Indigenous community and supplier community.

Indigenous Procurement is not about purchasing new goods or services to the sole benefit of the Indigenous community, but rather about creating pathways for more Indigenous businesses and the Indigenous community at-large to realize social and economic impacts through the City's existing purchasing needs.

The Framework is intended to apply to procurements across the corporation with the objective of removing barriers and building capacity within Indigenous businesses to more fully participate in City procurement processes.

Living Wage Policy

六合彩马来西亚 City Council approved a revised Living Wage Policy for 六合彩马来西亚 Employees and Employees of Contracted Services on November 5, 2019.

Administration implemented the living wage criteria for staff of contracted services who perform duties on City Property 鈥� including parks, roadways and facilities.

Living wage is generally defined as the minimum amount a person must earn to pay for the basic costs of living for oneself and one鈥檚 family within a specific geographic community.

Unlike minimum wage, which is set by the Provincial Government and requires all employers pay at least the minimum wage, a Living Wage is not required by law. 六合彩马来西亚鈥檚 Living wage is calculated annually by the 六合彩马来西亚 Social Planning Council.

Supplier Code of Conduct

The Supplier Code of Conduct ensures safe and healthy workplaces for the people who make and supply goods, and provide construction, intellectual property rights and services for the City, where conditions meet internationally agreed-upon standards as embodied in the many conventions of the International Labour Organization (ILO). The Code ensures the City maintains its integrity as a public institution by contracting only with suppliers who support ethical business practices.

The standards set out in this Code are based on a set of fundamental ILO labour conventions that directly support the Universal Declaration of Human Rights. These conventions set out minimum standards for working conditions.

Adherence to the City鈥檚 Supplier Code of Conduct will enable supplier compliance with the fundamental labour conventions of the ILO, relevant laws, and other applicable environmental and ethical standards; however, suppliers and their subcontractors are responsible for ensuring that they are in compliance with relevant laws and standards.

Sustainable Procurement Policy

The City integrates economic, quality, environmental and social value considerations into procurement processes for goods, services and construction projects, to the extent permitted by the City鈥檚 trade agreement obligations.

The umbrella of the Sustainable Procurement Policy includes ethical standards, environmental sustainability and social value considerations.
